The front clamping system is pre-mounted, and you’ll find the rear clamping system in the drawstring bag, ready for simple installation.

For the Gecko Race skin, the cutting pattern for a possible gauge has already been applied to the tail of the skin. The studs included in the delivery can be easily connected to the clamping system and inserted into the holes punched on the skin. They’re pressed together with a pipe wrench, and the final few millimetres can be fixed securely in place with a hammer. You can easily perform the trimming and mounting yourself by following the video on our website.

The special knife included lets you cut the skin precisely to the ski without moving it and without leaving any rough edges. It’s easy to handle, saves time and ensures that each Gecko skin is perfectly tailored to your ski.

Our Gecko front system offers other benefits too:
we developed our new front system carefully and have been using it for many years without any problems. As soon as you get the hang of the system – which might only take one go – it will work perfectly with all skis.

It’s easy to use:
under the bail, you’ll see a lightly milled curvature meant for the ski tip. First hold the bail with two fingers centred on the tip of the ski, then pull it lightly downwards. Then mount the skin to the upper part of the ski with the silicone and you’re all ‘skinned up’. You’ll notice that the bail won’t move another millimetre. If the bail isn’t fixed in place by pulling on it lightly, it might rattle around while you’re skiing, and that’s not what we want.

Further advantages of this system:

• You can’t push it off accidentally during kick turns any more.
• When breaking trail in deep snow, snow won’t get in between the ski and the skin, since the short front system takes the skin extremely far up to the tip of the ski.
