For over ten years, we here at MP Sports have been enthusiastically developing the world’s first climbing skin without adhesives. This groundbreaking innovation not only sets new standards for climbing skins, but also makes us proud of being a pioneer in this area.

Our Gecko adhesive skin for ski tours is unique on the market! It’s the only skin without adhesives, and it inspires touring skiers around the world.

The introduction of adhesive skins was undoubtedly a milestone long ago. But unfortunately, they’ve never been developed any further. As passionate touring skiers, we decided to do something about this stagnation in touring sports.

The biggest problem with conventional adhesive skins is undoubtedly the adhesive itself. It tends to stick too much or too little, can tear off of the skin, and is not always up to extreme temperature fluctuations of +20° to –30° over the course of a winter.

Challenges always mean opportunities, so we developed our adhesive-free Gecko skins with great enthusiasm, taking our cue from nature.
